Caprese Vegan Grilled Cheese


  • 2 slices of fresh bread
  • Vegan butter + roasted garlic paste
  • 2 slices of Vegan cheese (we used the Mozzarella)
  • Tomato slices (fresh)
  • Basil leaves (fresh)
  • Balsamic cream (drizzle)

  1. Spread about ½ tablespoon of the butter / roasted garlic mixture onto 1 side of the bread slice
  2. Place the buttered side down on a clean working surface, then top with the vegan cheese, tomatoes, basil and a drizzle of balsamic cream
  3. Spread another ½ tablespoon butter onto the second slice of bread and place it buttered side up on top of the sandwich
  4. Skilled method : heat your skilled over medium heat and cook until the bottom slice of bread is golden and the cheese is starting to melt, about 4 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until golden underneath, about 4 minutes more. Serve immediately

Air fyer method (our favourite!) : Heat your air fryer for 3 minutes at 370 F. Cook your sandwich for 4 minutes. Flip and cook another 4 minutes.

Tip : Secure the sandwich with a toothpick to prevent the top slice of bread to fly away

Serving suggestion : serve with a side of chips or a soup.
