Climate change should be a concern for everyone. In order to help save our planet, it is an accepted fact that as a global population we need to drastically reduce our carbon footprint; and it is increasingly understood that one of the best and easiest ways to do this is by changing our dietary habits and to reduce or actually stop eating meat.

Marco Springmann, a senior researcher in environmental sustainability and public health from the Department of Public Health and the Oxford Martin Program for the Future of Food at the University of Oxford, recently delivered this TED Talk. He advocates putting a rate on meat consumption. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
